Join Us in Albuquerque

Darci Balkcom & Molly Kittle invite you to gather for Harmonia Alexander Collective’s 2026 Summer Intensive and Post-Graduate Workshop — a four-day immersion devoted to voice, hands-on refinement, and joyful artistic exploration.

This year’s intensive places special focus on working with voice pathologies and injuries, offering in-depth study and practical tools for certified Alexander Technique teachers and trainees working toward certification.

What We’ll Explore

Professional Development & Teacher Skill-Building

This intensive supports teachers and trainees at every stage of development.

Participants will receive:

  • General Alexander Technique teacher skill-building tailored to your level of experience

  • Continued refinement of hands-on skills

  • Learning environment inspired by community

Our intention is not only to expand your technical capacity, but to deepen your discernment and confidence as a teacher.

Working with Voice Pathologies & Injury

A central focus of this year’s intensive is learning how to work skillfully and responsibly with students experiencing vocal strain, injury, or pathology.

Together we will explore:

  • Foundations of common vocal pathologies

  • Integrating voice work with core Alexander Technique principles

  • Applying hands-on skills to support vocal rehabilitation

  • Forms that blend vocal lesson strategies with Alexander-based table work

  • Ways to recognize when the voice may be compromised and how to respond appropriately

This material is designed to bridge practical voice pedagogy with Alexander principles and pedagogy

Embodied Artistic Practice

  • Body–breath–sound integration tools to care for the voice/body/mind relationship

  • Joyful improvisational group singing

  • A fun, supportive recital where participants can perform solos or ensemble pieces together
